Stampede gives Wildung 23rd victory of season
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Sept. 24-25) — Outside front-row starter Jeff Wildung of Nassau, Minn., led all the way Saturday night at Jamestown Speedway to capture the WISSOTA Late Model portion of the 39th annual Stock Car Stampede. Wildung earned $3,000 for his second Stampede victory in the Late Model competition.
Polesitter and 2007 Stampede winner Kyle Peterling of Hibbing, Minn., settled for second while Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., was third. David McDonald of Huron, S.D., finished fourth and Matt Aukland of Fargo, N.D., rounded out the top five.
Wildung, still in the hunt for the overall WISSOTA points title, notched his 23rd feature victory of the season at the event that drew more than 285 cars among seven divisions.
