Marushak captures SLMRS finale at I-80
GREENWOOD, Neb. (Sept. 26) — Eighth-starting Mike Marushak of David City, Neb., raced to victory Sunday at I-80 Speedway to capture the finale on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series. He earned $1,000 for his second series victory of the season.
Leon Zeitner of LaVista, Neb., finished second while polesitter Al Zeitner of Bellevue, Neb., was third. Nine-time series winner Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., who started outside the second row, was fourth and wrapped up the tour championship.
Craig Preble of Yutan, Neb., rounded out the top five finishers.
