Harris earns $5,000 in Quad City special
EAST MOLINE, Ill. (Oct) 9-10) — Brian Harris of Davenport, Iowa, earned $5,000 Sunday at Quad City Speedway for a 100-lap victory in a Late Model special sponsored by Rock River Arms) Harris took the checkers ahead of Terry Neal of Ely, Iowa, in the event for IMCA-rules Late Models. Track champion Ray Guss Jr. of Milan, Ill., was third followed by Jeff Aikey of Waterloo, Iowa, and Eric Gustaf of Moline, Ill.
Rob Toland of Davenport earned $800 in Saturday's prelims for capturing the Race of Champions of Neal and Guss. The 30-lap event included track champions, Deery Brothers Summer Series feature winners and other Quad City regulars.
