Casebolt fights off Babcock at Kokomo Klash
KOKOMO, Ind. (Oct. 16) — Outside front-row starter Steve Casebolt of Richmond, Ind., led all 25 laps Saturday at Kokomo Speedway for a $2,010 victory in the Super Late Model portion of the fourth annual Kokomo Klash.
With his softer tire compound giving up late in the race, Casebolt was able to fend off challenges from polesitter Jeff Babcock of Wayne, Ohio, for the victory in the season-ending event at the stronghold for non-winged sprint cars. | Slideshow
Duane Chamberlain of Richmond was third followed by Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, Mich., who captured the night's modified feature. Greg Johnson of Bedford, Ind., rounded out the top five finishers.
