Volusia victory gives Ivey weekend sweep
BARBERVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 17) — Tyler Ivey of Tallahasee, Fla., completed a sweep of the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series Fall Classic weekend on Saturday by leading all 50 laps at Volusia Speedway Park. Ivey earned $3,000, duplicating his payday from Friday's UDCLMS action at Ocala Speedway.
John Kellum fought off fellow Jacksonville, Fla., driver Donnie Chappell for the second spot while 10th-starting Matt Hartley and UDLMCS points leader Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., rounded out the top five. Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala fell out of contention with a lap-43 flat tire.
