Miller earns $3,000 for Winchester victory

DirtonDirt.com correspondentWINCHESTER, Tenn. (April 9) — Daniel Miller of Shelbyville, Tenn., inherited the lead after a series of early cautions Saturday at Winchester Speedway to earn a $3,000 unsanctioned victories on the three-track Tennessee Super Series.
Miller took the checkers ahead of Todd Morrow of Cleveland, Tenn., while Tim Busha of Boaz, Ala., finished third at the quarter-mile oval. Josh Putnam of Killen, Ala., and Corey Posey of Petersburg, Tenn., rounded out the top five. | Slideshow
Fast qualifier Terry English of Benton, Ky., led the early laps, but he was involved in a lap-four cautions, one of seven yellows the hampered the outset of the race. The most serious accident came with Riley Hickman's first-lap barrel-roll on the fronstretch after a tangle with James Cline. Hickman wasn't injured.
The Super Series continues May 28-29 with Memorial Day weekend events at Winchester and Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tenn.
