Kirchoff wins at Gillette for CLMA weekend sweep
GILLETTE, Wyo. (May 14) – Hometown driver Eddie Kirchoff scored a $1,200 Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series victory Saturday night at Gillette Thunder Speedway, completing a sweep of the series weekend doubleheader that included another $1,200 victory Friday night at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D. | Kirchoff survives for victory at Black Hills
Kirchoff, the defending series champion, beat out Scott Lewis of Henderson, Colo., for the 20th CLMA victory of his career. Scott Anderson of Rapid City, S.D., finished third with John Bey of Sturgis, S.D., and John Kuchar of Henderson, Colo., rounding out the top five.
The series returns to action with another doubleheader weekend June 3-4 that will include $1,200-to-win events at Beaver (Okla.) County Raceway and Dodge City (Kan.) Raceway Park.
