11:09 p.m.: McCool brings out lap-46 caution
Don O'Neal continues to lead at a lap-46 caution for Bub McCool's slide into the turn-four wall. Jimmy Owens moved up the track and was chasing O'Neal through heavy traffic before the caution. Scott Bloomquist is up to third with Jared Landers wrestling an ill-handling race car in the fourth position. Brian Birkhofer is back to fifth with Dan Schlieper sixth.
11:04 p.m.: O'Neal to lead
Don O'Neal has moved to the lead, using the high side to pass both Brian Birkhofer and Jimmy Owens. With 40 laps complete, the leaders are in heavy traffic.

10:07 p.m.: Show-Me feature on track
The starting field for the 19th annual Show-Me 100 feature is on the track, and the polesitter is nervous. "I'm feeling some nerves right now," rookie Super Late Model driver Chip Brindle said shortly before climbing in his Barry Wright Race Car and leading the 30-car field on to the track for driver introductions. "We're just gonna go out here and see what we can do. It's a long race and we're just gonna try to be there at the end."
10:02 p.m.: Jackson happy to survive consy mishap
When he slid high while attempting to lap a slower car midway through the third consolation race, race-long leader Tony Jackson Jr. thought his chance of making the Show-Me 100 feature might have been over. Ronny Lee Hollingsworth raced by for the lead, and Jackson was sure more race cars would be coming. “I was waiting for whoever was back there to come by and knock us out of the transfer,” Jackson said after the race. But Jackson and Hollingsworth had built such a large lead over third-running Billy Moyer Jr. and the rest of the field that he was able to get back in line and continue on to the runner-up finish. He’ll start 24th in the main event, but hopes to advance forward in his Rocket Chassis he recently purchased from former World of Outlaws champion Darrell Lanigan. “We’re happy to be in the show first of all. We’re starting on back there, but the car’s been good. Darrell has helped us with some stuff here lately and we’ve got something we’re gonna try. I think we’ll be good if we can stay on the lead lap early.”
9:50 p.m.: Provisionals set
Show-Me 100 provisionals are set and 30 drivers will start tonight's main event. 9:35 p.m.: More track prep
With support division prelims complete, track crews are taking a few minutes to rework the track surface. The Show-Me 100 feature is up next.

Ronny Lee Hollingsworth led the second half of the third consy to score the victory while early leader Tony Jackson Jr. recovered from a mishap in traffic to finish second and also transfer to the feature. 7:38 p.m.: Track prep continues
Racing action has been delayed shortly as track crews finish prepping the Lucas Oil Speedway surface. The track has gone from one extreme to the other over the past two nights. Rough and fast conditions greeted drivers for Thursday night's practice while Friday's track surface was rubbered-up and locked-down in the bottom groove. Officials are hoping for a happy medium tonight.
7:30 p.m.: Consolation races coming up
The pre-race festivities are complete and the first of three consolation races is getting ready to roll.
Pre-race notes
Saturday’s action is set to get underway with Late Model consolation races at 7:30 p.m. The three races will be 15 laps with the top two finishers from each race transferring into the Show-Me 100 feature. ... Chip Brindle of Chatsworth, Ga., will start from the pole of the 100-lap feature thanks to the top-six redraw. Jimmy Owens of Newport Tenn., will start second. ... The Show-Me is the first event where the new Lucas Oil Series rule against chemically altered tires is in effect. Under the new rule, any driver found to be competing with tires that have been chemically altered will be suspended from the series indefinitely, even for a first time offense. “We’re confident the guys who support the Lucas Oil Series and the guys who run around 80 percent of our races aren’t soaking any tires," series director Ritchie Lewis said Saturday. "Those are the guys we’re trying to look out for. What we don’t want are guys who only run a race or two to come into a show thinking they have nothing to lose and try to get away with it.” ... Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville, Ark., wasn’t very happy about the three-car inversion used for Friday’s heat races. Moyer qualified third in his group and would have started from the pole of a heat race if not for the inversion, but instead started third. He ended up fifth and will have to start fourth in a consolation race. “If they line us up like normal, I win our heat and I’m in the redraw,” Moyer said Saturday afternoon. “Instead, I’m stuck starting in the second row of a B-main. I hit my marks in qualifying and those guys who started on pole didn’t. It’s a joke. With how the track was last night, the guys who qualify up front deserve to start up front.” ... Hall of Fame chassis builder Barry Wright was impressed by rookie driver Chip Brindle’s heat race victory in one of his Barry Wright Race Cars Friday night. “Chip’s a good driver. To come out here for the first time and run like that, that’s impressive,” Wright said of the 25-year-old driver. What he’s not impressed with is the racing surface at Lucas Oil Speedway so far this weekend. “For as much as you hear about this place, I haven’t been much impressed. Maybe it’ll be better tonight.” Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., will start the Barry Wright House Car from the pole of a consolation race Saturday night. ... Billy Moyer of Batesville, Ark., wasn’t too happy with Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., after the two drivers made contact in turn three on the first lap of a heat race Friday night. Moyer accused Bloomquist of driving too hard into the corner. Bloomquist’s reply Saturday: “There’s three lanes out there on that track and I only wanted one of them. I can’t help it was the better lane. He wanted it, but I was already there.” ... Among drivers not returning to Lucas Oil Speedway Saturday were Jason Feger of Bloomington, Ill., and Brian Shirley of Chatham, Ill. Both drivers were scheduled to start mid-pack in consolation races.
