Ogle tops R.J. for victory with Southern All Stars
RINGGOLD, Ga. (July 15) — Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., outran track-dominating Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., on Friday for his first Southern All Star Series victory in six seasons. Ogle notched his first victory since joining the Maryville, Tenn.-based Blount Motorsports team, earning $4,000 for his third career victory on the long-running series. | Slideshow
Johnson, who has three special event victories at the track this season, crossed the line second with Chip Brindle of Chatsworth, Ga., in third. Series points leader William Thomas of Phenix City, Ala., was fourth with Jason Welshan of Maryville in fifth. Welshan also won the night's Crate Late Model feature.
