Byars scores $2,500 MSCCS victory at Greenville
GREENVILLE, Miss. (July 16) – Klint Byars of Carrollton, Miss., earned $2,500 for scoring another victory on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series Saturday night at Greenville Speedway.
Byars started seventh in the 40-lapper and took the win over Steve Bryan of Collinsville, Miss. Beau Gordon of Merigold, Miss., was third with Chad Thrash of Meridian, Miss., and Mike Palasini Jr. of Leland, Miss., rounding out the top five finishers. | Slideshow
Notes: Byars drives a Victory Circle Chassis from Billy Moyer's shop with power from a Jay Dickens Racing Engine and sponsorship from Southern Belle and Lovorn & Lovorn Trucking. ... Byars currently leads the series standings, pending an appeal of tire test results that stripped him of his May 28 victory at Hattiesburg (Miss.) Motorsports Park. ... The series returns to action with another $2,500-to-win event July 30 at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss.
