Kirchoff racks up 22nd CLMA victory at Gillette
GILLETTE, Wyo. (Aug. 20) — Hometown driver and two-time series champion Eddie Kirchoff raced from the third row to victory Saturday at Gillette Thunder Speedway for a victory on the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series.
Kirchoff notched his fourth CLMA victory of the season and series-leading 22nd of his career.
Eighth-staring Eric Mass of Rapid City, S.D., rallied to finish second in the 25-lap main event with Chris Johnson of Spearfish, S.D., in third. Will Brack and Kelly Hample rounded out the top five finishers. Polesitter Scott Anderson was ninth.
Sixteen of 23 starters were running at the finish, all on the lead lap.
