Meadows tops Umberger for $2,000 Fastrak win
HANOVER, W.Va. (May 12) — Chris Meadows of Beckley, W.Va., picked up a $2,000 victory Saturday night in the Fastrak City Chevrolet Tour at Thunder Mountain Speedway, denying reigning series champion Brandon Umberger a weekend sweep of the Crate Late Model tour’s weekend doubleheader in West Virginia.
Umberger of Rural Retreat, Va., settled for the runner up finish one night after winning the tour’s event at Beckley (W.Va.) Motorsports Park. Lee Cooper of Greer, S.C., was third with Trent Ivey of Union, S.C., and David Smith of Inman, S.C., rounding out the top five.
