RICHMOND, Ky. (May 26) — Former track champion Mike Jewell of Scottsburg, Ind., held off Victor Lee of Danville, Ky., on Saturday at Richmond Raceway for a $3,000 in the unsanctioned Rain Dodger 40.

Lee, the winner Friday at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, saw his hopes for the $600 weekend bonus sweep slip away with his runner-up finish. The weekend concludes Sunday at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky.
Behind Jewell and Lee was Todd Coffman of Junction City while Jason Barrett of Waco, Ky., and Chad Stapleton of Edinburgh, Ind., rounded out the top five.
The most serious race stoppage came for Aaron Hatton’s frontstretch flip. He wasn’t hurt but the car suffered considerable damage.
