Marcoullier scores first ALMS victory at Oakshade
WAUSEON, Ohio (June 16) — Dona Marcoullier of Houghton, Mich., raced to his first-career victory on the Sunoco American Late Model Series Saturday night at Oakshade Raceway, earning $2,000 at the 3/8-mile oval.
Marcoullier topped a pair of series veterans to score his break through victory. He was followed at the finish line by three-time series champion Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, Mich., in the runner-up spot with two-time champ Rusty Schlenk of Jackson, Mich., third.
Dan Wallace of Toledo, Ohio was forth at the finish with Casey Noonan of Sylvania, Ohio rounding out the top race’s top five finishers.
Matt Miller of Whitehouse, Ohio won the tour’s two previous events, but did not enter Saturday’s race.
The ALMS tour takes a month off before return to action with a $2,000-to-win event July 27 at Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park.
