Thrash claims MSCCS victory at Greenville
GREENVILLE, Miss. (June 16) — Chad Thrash waited until nearly the last minute in avoiding a year-long winless streak on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series.
Just two days before his drought on the regional tour reached a year in length, the Meridian, Miss., driver returned to victory lane with a $2,500 victory in the tour’s event Saturday night at Greenville Speedway. | Slideshow
Thrash, whose previous MSCCS victory came at Greenville on June 18, 2011, topped Rick Rickman of Columbus, Miss., for his fifth overall series victory. Neil Baggett of Shannon, Miss., finished third with hometown driver Greg Fore and Justin McRee of Cottondale, Ala., rounding out the top five finishers.
The MSCCS tour returns to action with a doubleheader weekend July 13-14 at Hattiesburg (Miss) Motorsports Park and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss.
