Stovall tops Phillips in $1,500 tuneup at Jetmore
JETMORE, Kan. (July 6) — Jesse Stovall of Galena, Mo., led all 25 laps Friday at the Great American Dirt Track for a $1,500 victory in the tuneup for the track’s $12,000-to-win Showdown.
Stovall, the MARS DIRTcar Series points leader, won the race co-sanctioned by MARS and the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series by holding off six-time MARS champ Terry Phillips of Springfield, Mo. | Slideshow
Clay Daly of Watsonville, Calif., posted a third-place finish with Morgan Bagley of Longview, Texas, in fourth. Eric Turner of Springfield, Mo., rounded out the top five in the 27-car field.
