Wall rolls to MSCCS victory at Jackson
JACKSON, Miss. (July 28) — Former series champion Chris Wall of Holden, La., scored his first Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory of the season Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway, earning $2,500 in the quarter-mile oval’s Direct Auto Insurance 50.
Wall advanced from the fifth starting spot to score the victory ahead of the Bub McCool of Vicksburg, Miss., and reigning series champion Klint Byars of Carrolton, Miss. Wall’s Childress Racing teammate B.J. Robinson of Shreveport, La., finished fourth.
The event was the first race in a Saturday-Sunday doubleheader for the MSCCS. The tour moves to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., Sunday for a $2,000-to-win event.
