Redetzke ends 10-race WCS drought
WATERTOWN, S.D. (July 29) — Jake Redetzke of Eau Claire, Wis., who never went more than five races without a victory during last year’s series championship season, ended a 10-race drought Sunday at Casino Speedway with his first WISSOTA Challenge Series win of 2012. | Slideshow
The 24-year-old Redetzke led all 40 laps for a $2,000 payday in taking the checkers ahead of series points leader John Kaanta of Elk Mound, Wis. Ninth-starting David McDonald of Huron, S.D., finished third, his third straight top-five finish in the South Dakota tripleheader for the tour.
Minnesota drivers Marshall Fegers of Mound and Jordan Yaggy of Rochester rounded out the top five finishers.
