Back-to-back NLRA victories for Strand
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Aug. 11) — Fresh off his first career series victory, Dustin Strand of Grand Forks, N.D., notched another one Saturday night at Jamestown Speedway, winning back-to-back events on the Northern LateModel Racing Association.
Strand, who won Thursday at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn., came from the third starting spot at Jamestown for an $1,100 payday on the WISSOTA-sanctioned circuit.
Strand took the checkers ahead of polesitter and fellow Grand Forks driver Brad Seng. David McDonald of Huron, S.D., was third followed by NLRA points leader Ricky Weiss and Mike Balcaen, both of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Strand, a former WISSOTA modified champion, also competed in the night’s modified feature, finishing sixth. ... Eighteen of 20 Late Model starters were running at the finish. ...
