Dickes captures SLMRS victory at Shelby County
HARLAN, Iowa (Sept. 14) — Reigning series champion Travis Dickes of Madison, Neb., extended his points lead on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series with a victory Friday at Shelby County Speedway’s Tiny Lund Memorial.
Dickes, who started seventh, earned $1,000 for his second straight series victory and fifth of his career. Polesitter Justin Zeitner of LaVista, Neb., finished second followed by ninth-starting Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Neb. Jason O’Brien of Atlantic, Iowa, and 15th-starting Bill Leighton Jr. of Omaha, Neb., rounded out the top five.
