Nosbisch tightens grip with UDLMCS victory
OCALA, Fla. (Nov. 23) — Keith Nosbisch of Valrico, Fla., took a step toward wrapping up his second consecutive United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series championship Friday with a victory at Bubba Raceway Park.
Nosbisch ran third early before moving up and taking the lead from Christian Augspurger of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., on lap 16. Nosbisch led the rest of the 50-lapper for the $3,000 victory in the season’s penultimate series event, his second of the season on the tour.
Former series champ Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., finished second and stands 70 points behind Nosbisch with one race remaining. Augspurger was third while Bo Allen and Richard Ferry rounded out the top five.
