Cook claims $3,000 at Winchester's Winterfest
WINCHESTER, Tenn. (Feb. 23) — Polesitter Ray Cook of Brasstown, N.C., claimed his second victory of the young 2013 season Saturday at Winchester Speedway, earning $3,000 in the third-mile oval’s 10th annual Winterfest event.
Cook, who earlier this season claimed a $4,000 victory in Limited Late Model action at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Ga., crossed the finish line ahead of David Seibers of Petersburg, Tenn., in Saturday’s unsanctioned 40-lapper.
Tim Busha of Boaz, Ala., finished third ahead of Jay Brinkley of Shelbyville, Tenn., in fourth. Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, Tenn., advanced from the 10th starting spot to round out the race’s top five finishers.
