Show-Me 100 on CBS leads Lucas TV schedule
This weekend’s 21st Annual Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com will for the third straight year be recorded for a tape-delayed broadcast to the national television audience of CBS. Airdates for the $30,000-to-win crown jewel event were announced Wednesday as part of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series’ 2013 television schedule.
Along with its CBS broadcast on June 29, the Show-Me 100 will also air on NBC Sports, CBS Sports, SPEED and MAVTV. The event will be broadcasted on television a total of eight times among five television networks in 2013.
The Lucas Oil Series also announced that MAVTV American Real Network will be available on DIRECTV beginning June 10th. MAVTV American Real has been added to the basic programing package for all DIRECTV subscribers. The network will be found on channel 219 right in the middle of all the major sports channels in DIRECTV’s basic channel line-up.
With MAVTV added to DIRECTV’s basic programming, the MAVTV Network will reach over 20.3 million households beginning in June and will exceed over 30 million households by the end of the year. MAVTV continues to expand daily while accomplishing its mission of providing many forms of motorsports programing. MAVTV also provides exciting programming for the entire family, focusing on real Americans living their real American stories, and emphasizing thrilling entertainment from all over America.
Lucas Oil Production Studios were the honored recipient's of two Telly Awards for outstanding video and filming of the events filmed at Knoxville Raceway and Portsmouth, Ohio, at the Dirt Track World Championship. With the award-winning television shows and increased viewer ratings, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series television package will increase to 48 hours of programming on five different major networks, including multiple re-airs of each event.
Series events to be aired in 2013 include May 25’s Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com from Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.; June 15’s Optima Batteries Clash at the Mag presented by E3 Spark Plugs from Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss.; July 12’s General Tire Battle at the Beach presented by GEICO from Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill.; July 13’s E3 Spark Plugs Diamond Nationals presented by General Tire from Lucas Oil Speedway; Aug. 10’s Sunoco North-South 100 presented by Lucas Oil from Florence (Ky.) Speedway; Aug. 17’s COMP Cams Topless 100 presented by Sweet Mfg. from Batesville (Ark.) Motor Speedway; Aug. 24’s GEICO Whiskey City 50 presented by Hoosier Tire from Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway.; September 28’s Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals presented by MAVTV from Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway; October 5’s Lucas Oil Dixie Shootout from Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Ga.; and the season-ending RED BUCK Dirt Track World Championship presented by Borrowed Blue from Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park.

The award winning Lucas Oil Production Studios, based in Corona, Calif., will film each scheduled television airing using state of the art high definition cameras and the popular Helicopter Cam at most television races. The television package will also feature Cinema camera technology; in-car cameras and the cut-away car technical segments will all be a part of the television shows. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series television ratings have again increased, which will allow the series to expand to the largest amount of television coverage since the series inception in 2005.
This weekend’s Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com will be the first crown jewel event of the season, providing a must-see television event and a weekend full of activity at Lucas Oil Speedway. The Memorial Day weekend and the Show-Me 100 have become a long-standing tradition for fans and racers alike. Activities at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks during the Show-Me 100 week include: camping in the sprawling 40 acres of wooded and cleared campsites; fishing at two lakes on the property; huge Vendor Midway; Miss Show-Me 100 Pageant; corn-hole tournament; activities on the new huge Lake Lucas; bounce houses; kids rides; rock wall; go-kart track, the diamond bar, free music concerts and the much anticipated $30,000 to win Show-Me 100 main event on Saturday.
