Eisele tops Fink for Go Nuclear victory

Can-Am Motorsports ParkLaFARGEVILLE, N.Y. (May 23) — Hometown driver Billy Eisele overtook Alan Fink of Central Square, N.Y., midway through Thursday’s 25-lapper at Can-Am Motorsports Park and grabbed a victory on the Go Nuclear Late Model Series. Eisele earned $1,000 in the Crate Late Model special.
Russ Robinson and Fink started in the front row, but third-starting Phil Potts jumped into the early lead with Fink, Brnadon Kidd, Robinson and Eisele giving chase.
Fink went out front on the third lap while Eisele worked his way to the front, reaching the second spot by the 10th lap. Eisele, a Can-Am regular, pulled outside Fink and drove by near the halfway mark and raced to victory.
Fink settled for second with Potts third. Reigning series champion Dale Caswell and Sean Beardsley rounded out the top five.
