Umberger rules Princeton's Fastrak event
PRINCETON, W.Va. (May 26) — Brandon Umberger of Rurual Retreat, Va., wrapped up the Fastrak Racing Series’ Triple Crown weekend with a $2,000 victory Sunday at Princeton Raceway.
Umberger, who finished third in the previous night’s event at his hometown track of Wythe Raceway and 13th in Friday’s tripleheader opener at Beckley (W.Va.) Motorsports Park, was followed at the finish of Sunday’s race by Ron Parker of Lawndale, N.C. | Slideshow
Eddie Hambrick of Beckley, W.Va., was third with Aaron Barley, also of Beckley, and Corey Gordon of Charlotte, N.C., rounding out the race’s top five finishers.
Parker’s runner-up effort was good enough to secure him the points title for the three-race miniseries, earning him the title of 2013 Fastrak Triple Crown champion.
