Taylor, Moore split MSRA victories at Greenville
From series reports
GREENVILLE, Miss. (May 9-10) — Jeff Taylor of Cave City, Ark., and Ray Moore of Shreveport, La., captured O'Reilly Mid-South Racing Association victories over the weekend at Greenville Speedway. Both drivers earned $3,000 for the victories.
In the Friday weekend opener, Taylor started on the pole but faced plenty of competition as three other drivers — Joey Mack, Dusty Johnston and Moore — took turns up front. Moore was in control late in the race, but a tangle with a lapped car sent Moore spinning off the track, handing the lead back to Taylor. Taylor won over Johnston, Mack and Moore, who rallied back into the top five over the final 10 laps. Jeff Chanler rounded out the top five.
On Saturday, Mack led early before Moore took command and led the rest of the way. Allen Tippen finished second followed by Mack, Johnston and Kyle Beard, who rallied from his 18th starting spot despite two pit stops.
