Newlywed Airgood grabs Raceway 7 victory
CONNEAUT, Ohio (June 21) — The honeymoon’s not quite over yet. Fresh off his post-wedding trip, Dave Airgood Jr. of Hermitage, Pa., led all the way Friday at Raceway 7 for a victory on the Fastrak Northeast tour for Crate Late Models. Airgood earned $1,200.
Raceway 7 points leader Chad Wright pulled alongside Airgood in a battle for the lead on the 21st lap, but traffic helped foil the move and Airgood hung on for his first tour victory. Former series champion and polesitter Max Blair was third followed by fast qualifier Kyle Zimmerman and Billy Henry.
