Fitzgerald's 3rd straight NLMS win pays $5,000
COCHRAN, Ga. (July 27) — Jason Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, Fla., claimed a $5,000 payday Saturday night at Cochran Motor Speedway, earning his third straight Hedman Hedders National Late Model Series victory.
Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., was second at the half-mile oval with Bob Robertson of Evans, Ga., Cale Simons of Albany, Ga., and Ben Faircloth of Swainsboro, Ga., rounding out the top five.
The series hosted just its fourth event of the season. Three previous July events were rained out.
NLMS competitors return to action Aug. 31 in a $3,000-to-win event at Albany (Ga.) Motor Speedway.
