Series points leader Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark., was second at the finish with Chandler Petty of Beebe, Ark., third. Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville, Ark., winner of Friday’s series event at North Central Arkansas Speedway, was fourth with Jon Mitchell of Texarkana, Texas, rounding out the top five.
Polesitter Ronny Adams of Greenwood, La., led the first three laps before Sullivan shot past on lap four. The race’s first caution waved a lap later for a solo spin back in the pack.
Sullivan led the field to the green flag for the restart, while a wild chain of events set off a major wreck behind him. Entering turn one, second-starting Tommy Surrett hooked a rut, sending him into Adams, causing Adams to flip. Adams wasn’t injured, but he was done for the night. Allen Murray was also collected in the incident, but was able to rejoin the tail of the field.
Sullivan maintained control for the ensuing restart with Beard in pursuit. Beard pressured Sullivan for the lead until lap 19, when he stalled to draw a caution.
While Beard headed to the tail of the field he was far from done for the night. Over the remaining 16 laps, he brought the crowd to their feet as he rode the cushion back to a second-place finish.
