Berck rules Riviera's SLMRS event
NORFOLK, Neb. (Aug. 3) — Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., captured his sixth victory of the season on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series Saturday night at Riviera Raceway.
Berck, the tour’s 2010 champion and all-time winningest driver, earned $1,000 in leading Bill Leighton of Omaha, Neb., to the finish. Mike Marushak of David City, Neb., was third with Robbie Anderson of Blair, Neb., and hometown driver Tad Pospisil rounding out the top five.
Notes: Berck is sponsored by Aurora Agronomy, Strobel Construction and Swartz Race Cars. ... Berck earned the 43rd series victory of his career. ... The tour returns to action Aug. 17 with a trip to Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa.
