Rick Scheffler rules Manitowoc's Behling Memorial
MANITOWOC, Wis. (Aug. 9) — Rick Scheffler of Waukesha, Wis., led all 40 laps of Friday’s Behling Memorial Race at Manitowoc County Expo Speedway, earning a $2,000 victory sanctioned by the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association.
Scheffler got the jump from his outside front-row starting spot and controlled the entire distance in leading eighth-starting Mitch McGrath of Neosho, Wis., to the finish. McGrath was disqualified for failing to report to the tech area after leaving the scales. Tim Buhler of Glenbuelah, Wis., was moved up to second with Brad Mueller of Random Lake, Wis., third. Russ Scheffler, the winner’s brother, was fourth. | Slideshow
