Berck's sixth SLMRS victory pays $2,000
CORNING, Iowa (Aug. 17) — Points leader Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., notched his series-leading sixth victory on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series on Saturday at Adams County Speedway.
Berck earned $2,000 for the victory over Jason O’Brien of Atlantic, Iowa. J.C. Wyman of Griswold, Iowa, was third followed by Travis Dickes of Madison, Neb., and Bill Leighton Jr. of Omaha, Neb.
Justin Zeitner led the first half of the race before the high-running Leighton took control. But Leighton got too high in turn two on lap 19, slipping off the track and allowing the eighth-starting Berck to take over. A single caution slowed the action.
