McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. (Aug. 24) — Bill Leighton Jr. of Omaha, Neb., came from his fourth starting spot at Junction Motor Speedway on Saturday to capture his first victory of the season on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series. He earned $1,000.
Series points leader Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., advanced four spots to finish second ahead of polesitter Al Humphrey of Giltner, Neb., while Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Neb., and Friday’s series winner Corey Zeitner of Bellevue, Neb., who started 13th, rounded out the top five.
