Beard clinches Comp Cams title with victory
HARRISBURG, Ark. (Sept. 9) — Series points leader Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark., clinched the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series title and put an exclamation point on his season with a $2,500 victory in the tour’s event Saturday night at Northeast Arkansas Speedway. | Slideshow
Third-starting Dane Dacus of Lakeland, Tenn., advanced one spot to finish third while sixth-starting Clay Fisher of DeWitt, Ark., finished third. Brandon Smith of Floral, Ark., and fifth-starting Wendell Wallace of Batesville, Ark., rounded out the race’s top five finishers.
Notes: Beard drives a Pierce Race Car for Upton Motorsports. His sponsors include Gary Beard Trucking, Samuel’s Performance Engines, D.H. Hendricks Sheet Metal, Real Racing Wheels, Team 5 Enterprises, JFR Graphics, Stealth Carburetors and D&M Power Washing. ...
