Lagasse's first NLMS victory comes at Volusia
BARBERVILLE, Fla. (Sept. 14) —Scott Lagasse Jr. of St. Augustine, Fla., scored his first victory on the Hedman Hedders National Late Model Series Saturday night at Volusia Speedway Park, earning $3,000 at the half-mile oval.
Series points leader Jason Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, Fla., was second with Cale Simmons of Albany, Ga., Darrell Padgett of Jacksonville, Fla., and Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala, Fla., rounding out the top five.
The NLMS tour takes an extended break before wrapping up its season with a $5,000-to-win event Oct. 24-25 at Waycross (Ga.) Motor Speedway.
