Leighton rules SLMRS at I-80 Speedway
GREENWOOD, Neb. (Sept. 21) — Third-starting Bill Leighton Jr. of Lavista, Neb., raced to his third victory of the season on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series, earning $1,000 Saturday night at I-80 Speedway.
Polesitter Justin Gregg of Hastings, Neb., was second with Justin Zeitner of Lavista, Neb., third. Al Zeitner of Bellevue, Neb., and Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Neb., rounded out the race’s top-five finishers.
The series takes a few weeks off before returning to I-80 Speedway to wrap up the season with a doubleheader weekend Oct. 12-13.
