Jimmy Cliburn captures $5,000 Magnolia victory

COLUMBUS, Miss. (June 7) — Polesitter Jimmy Cliburn of Star, Miss., raced to a $5,000 victory in the fifth annual Governor's Cup at Magnolia Motor Speedway. Dane Dacus of Lakeland, Tenn., finished second in the unsanctioned event followed by 19th-starting Jason Cliburn of Star, Shep Lucas of McKenzie, Ala., and James Ward of Lettsworth, La. The track returns to action June 29 with the Firecracker Four Crown miniseries and a $2,000 Late Model feature.
