Tucker wins at Clary's; first Clash win since '04

BRINKLEYVILLE, N.C. (June 28) — Winning his first series race since the 2004 season-ender, Ray Tucker of Greensboro, N.C., pocketed $5,000 for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series victory at Clary's Speedway. Tucker won his ninth career series race in outrunning G.R. Smith, Ricky Weeks, Dustin Mitchell and Booper Bare. Series points leader Dennis Franklin was 24th in the 26-car field and polesitter Richard Jarivs Jr. led early before retiring with mechanical problems.
