By Ed Reichert
DirtonDirt.com correspondentMENOMONIE, Wis. (July 4) — Starting on the pole at Red Cedar Speedway, Jimmy Mars dominated all the way for a 50-lap victory worth $5,000 on the Rumble Dirt Series. Mars lapped all but seven competitors in the WISSOTA-sanctioned victory in outrunning Jeff Wildung of Nassau, Minn., by more than a full straightaway to win his second race on the first-year tour. Nick Anvelink of Bonduel, Wis., was third followed by Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., and A.J. Diemel of Navarino, Wis. | Slideshow
Mars only appeared to be in danger around the 30th lap as he entered heavy lapped traffic. But instead of Wildung closing in on the leader, Mars made several bold moves, twice threading the needle between lapped cars to attack the traffic and increase his lead.
