Moran edges Chamberlain, captures Dunn Memorial

CROOKSVILLE, Ohio (July 6) — Donnie Moran of Dresden, Ohio, overtook Duane Chamberlain of Richmond, Ind., on the 28th lap to win the Independent Racing Series-sanctioned Jim Dunn Memorial at Midway Speedway. Moran earned $7,000 for the Sunday night triumph while Chamberlain settled for second. West Virginia drivers Mike Balzano finished third and fourth as they slid sideways across the finish line and IRS points leader Robbie Blair was fifth. Polesitter Chris Garnes ended up 10th and outside front-row starter Doug Dodd, who led the first 12 laps, had suspension problems and was listed as 20th in the 25-car field. | Slideshow
