Jordan pockets $5,000 for Lavonia victory
From series reports
LAVONIA, Ga. (July 5) — Polesitter Grant Jordan of Bowman, Ga., inherited the lead when fellow front-row starter Timbo Magnum got tangled up in lapped traffic on the 18th lap and led the rest of the 50-lap Fastrak Series touring event at Lavonia Speedway for a $5,000 payday. Jordan kept David Smith of Inman, S.C., in check over the final 30 laps for the victory. Ryan Gifford, Kenny Peeples Jr. and Dustin Morris rounded out the top five. Fast qualifier Royce Bray and Jonathan Davenport were running third and fourth when the white flag waved, but they got together in turn two on the final lap and lost their top-five positions.
