FloRacing launches midweek series

FloSports today announced the streaming platform’s first midweek motorsports series, Castrol FloRacing Night in America, featuring up to 10 weeknight races for the Dirt Late Model division from March through October 2021. | 2021 FloRacing tour schedule

Each event — beginning with the March 25 opener at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tenn. —will be streamed live and on-demand only on FloRacing, the digital-only platform for grassroots motorsports. (DirtonDirt.com subscribers have access to all FloRacing content.)

Castrol FloRacing Night In America makes FloSports the first streaming company to independently organize and produce a motorsport racing event of this scale. Teams will chase first-place prizes from $10,000 to $20,000 per race and compete for a year-end points fund totaling $60,000. FloRacing will also support the events with a new live studio show co-hosted by DirtonDirt.com’s Michael Rigsby and Derek Kessinger that includes commentary and expert analysis, social media integration via the FloSports app and special guests from the Dirt Late Model world.

“We are excited to continue providing grassroots motorsports fans with unique and high-quality offerings on the FloRacing platform,” said Rigsby, the FloSports VP of Motorsports. “We believe we’re adding even more excitement to FloRacing subscribers during the 2021 Dirt Late Model season by broadcasting live midweek events, and it’s great to have the support of our partners, including Castrol, who are helping make these races happen.”

The weeknight schedule boasts 50-lap events at 10 tracks in eight states with events on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. After 411’s opener, it visits Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill. (March 31); Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.Va. (April 15); Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio (April 21); Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway (May 12); Marshalltown (Iowa) Speedway (May 19); Florence Speedway in Union, Ky. (June 2); Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway (Sept 14); Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, N.C. (Oct. 7); and Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. (Oct. 20).

Each race pays $10,000-to-win except Fairbury ($15,000) and Atomic ($20,000). Drivers’ best seven finishes will be used to determine the points champion while Fairbury promoter Matt Curl will serve as race director and veteran driver and promoter Ray Cook will handle tech. Announcers Ben Shelton and Dustin Jarrett will combine to call the action at each event.

Details on purses, the series points fund, race formats and rules will be announced later.
