Thursday’s opener of the fifth annual DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., was cancelled due to steady rain and unsettled weather conditions expected for the remainder of the night.

Friday’s $12,000-to-win feature will now serve as the World of Outlaws Case Late Models season opener preceding Saturday’s $15,000-to-win Sunshine Nationals finale as both remaining nights will be completed as originally scheduled. Pits open at 1 p.m. Friday, with grandstands opening at 4 and on-track activity set to begin at 5.

For those who purchased a ticket in advance of Thursday night’s event, a face-value credit will be applied to their My Dirt Tickets account and can be used toward any WoO event in the next two years. Fans can also request a refund directly here. Pit passes will be honored for Friday or Saturday night.
