Arthur collects first Three State Flyers victory

WAYNESBORO, Va. (Aug. 16) — Taking the lead when Bo Feathers departed with a flat tire with two laps remaining, Walker Arthur of Forest, Va., earned $3,500 Friday at Eastside Speedway for his first victory on the Three State Flyers circuit.

Arthur took the checkers ahead of Scott LeBarron of Dover, Pa., while Jeremy Miller of Gettysburg, Pa., was third. Kenny Pettyjohn of Millsboro, Del., and Trever Feathers of Winchester, Va., rounded out the top five. Trever’s father Bo, who dominated the race, ended up two laps down in 18th in the 24-car field.

Arthur is the second Virginia driver to win on the series; Booper Bare of Rockbridge Baths, Va., has two series victories, but none since the inaugural series season in 2009. ...
