What won the race: Taking command from early leader Dalton Cook on the 14th circuit, fourth-starting Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga., overcame a late-race restart and led the rest of the way, capturing Saturday's inaugural Spring Breaker 50 at East Alabama Motor Speedway. Overton's fifth overall victory of the year — worth $10,000 — boosts his season-long winnings to more than $50,000.
Key notes: The pole-starting Cook, of Columbus, Ga., led the opening 13 laps before giving way to Overton and trailing him until lap 45, when he slowed to draw the race's third and final caution. Cook was unable to continue and credited with 11th. ... Allen Styck inherited the runner-up spot and finished 1.248 seconds back. ... Austin Horton rounded-out the podium finishers. ... Ross Bailes improved four positions, finishing fourth. ... Haiden Cowan completed the top five. ... Dillon Tidmore gained seven spots and placed seventh. ... Twelfth-starting Tyler Clem worked his way as high as third on a lap-30 restart before slowing to cause the second stoppage on lap 33. He was unable to continue and finished 12th. ... Kenny Collins slowed from 11th to bring out the race's first yellow on lap 29. ... Saturday's unsanctioned Super Late Model special lasted 20 minutes, with 10 drivers completing the distance.
On the move: J.R. Moseley of Columbus, Ga., started 18th and finished eighth.
