Blair tops Fastrak foes at Beckley, earns $22,000
BECKLEY, W.Va. (Oct. 6) — Crate Late Model standout Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., captured the Fastrak Racing Series World Championship on Saturday at Beckley Motorsports Park.
The 22-year-old Blair, a weekly points and Fastrak Northeast regional winner with Fastrak, reached the apex of the organization with his 75-lap victory from his outside front-row starting spot that paid $22,000. The victory was his 34th overall of the season. | Slideshow | Prelims
Joe Martin of Mayport, Pa., rallied from his 10th starting spot to finish second while Billy Henry of Connersville, Pa., rallied from the 24th starting spot to finish third.
Wayne Robertson of Corning, N.Y., who started 21st, was fourth and tail-starting Chris Meadows of Crab Orchard, W.Va., rounded out the top five.
Meadows won the preliminary Fastrak Weekly World Challenge, earning $7,000 and the final starting spot in the 25-car field.
