What won the race: Leading all 31 laps for a $3,111 victory in the Tanner Pelster Memorial, Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., captured Sunday’s Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series event at Boone County Raceway. Berck took the checkers 0.918 seconds ahead of Josh Leonard and tightened the points chase with series leader Tad Pospisil, who was penalized for contact with another driver and finished ninth.
Key notes: Six of Berck's series-leading 92 career victories have come at Boone County. ... Jesse Sobbing was squeezed into the frontstretch wall on the 18th lap while battling Tad Pospisil for second; Sobbing angrily climbed from his car after stopping in turn one.
