What won the race: Leading all 30 laps from the pole, Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn., won the Super Late Model portion of Sunday's Weiner Nationals at Randolph County Raceway, collecting $10,000.
Key notes: Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas, claimed the runner-up position, 1.837 seconds behind Marlar. … Sunday's feature, an event held to benefit the family of Fulton, Mo.'s Ryan Christopher Brewer, who died at 25 on March 29 while he was preparing to tow a vehicle near Kingdom City, Mo., was slowed by two separate incidents and lasted 18 minutes, with nine competitors completing all 30 laps. … The event receives its name partly from a hot dog eating contest held during the program, which paid $1,000 to the winner and featured the Weinermobile as the honorary pace car.
On the move: Ken Schrader of Fenton, Mo., started 23rd and finished 10th.
Winner's sponsors: Marlar’s Rocket Chassis is powered by a Cornett Racing Engine and sponsored by Delk Equipment Sales, Tri-Rivers Enterprise (Mark and Kim Dotson), Rockets Convenience Plus, Can-Am Auto Salvage, RS Equipment Sales & Rentals, BruceBilt Performance and Midwest Sheet Metal.
