What won the race: Sliding by early leader Allen Styck on lap nine, third-starting Dillon Brown of Gaffney, S.C., controlled the remainder of Saturday's 52-lap Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet Crate Racin' USA stop at Cochran Motor Speedway, collecting $10,000. Brown bagged his third career CRUSA triumph and his third overall feature victory of the season, increasing his total winnings to more than $18,000.
Key notes: Ches Chester regained the runner-up spot on lap 51 and finished 0.754 of a second behind Brown. ... Pearson Lee Williams pursued Brown from laps 20-50 before giving way to Chester and settling for third. ... Styck, of Americus, Ga., led the opening eight laps from the pole before giving way to Brown and slipping to complete the top five. ... Matt Dooley improved seven positions and recorded an eighth-place result. ... Bubba Roling gained 13 spots and finished 11th. ... Richie Stephens, winner of March 30's season opener at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga., ran as high as fourth before slowing and pulling off on lap 49; Stephens was unable to continue and credited with 21st. ... Saturday's feature lasted 19 minutes, with 18 drivers running at the finish.
