What won the race: Sliding by race-long pacesetter Jon Mitchell on lap 31, second-starting Billy Moyer of Batesville, Ark., led the rest of Friday's 35-lap Steve Rushin Memorial opener at Batesville Motor Speedway. Moyer's $5,000 win marks his 14th career Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory and his first since earning $3,000 on April 2, 2021, at Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Motorsports Park.

Quotable: “It was pretty gnarly out there for sure, with the holes and stuff going on, it’d give you a workout,” Moyer said. “Steve (Rushin) was a great guy, I always got along with him real well and he helped me, I helped him through the racing times that we needed to use something he had, or I had.
